Swedish (The Classic)

image15

Swedish Massage is a great introductory massage for many reasons, the first being that it involves firm, yet gentle strokes designed to relax the muscles.

Deep Tissue (The Pain Reliever)

image16

While similar to Swedish, Deep tissue massage targets the inner layers of your muscles, tendons and fascia, to treat injury or problem area by using much more pressure.

Hot Stone (The Winter Favorite)

Hot Stone Massage is often paired with Swedish Massage. Stones are heated and used with oils to sooth, warm, and massage your muscles. This allows your body to relax and release tension and stress.

Understanding Massage Therapy

Thai Yoga Massage

Also called "lazy person's yoga."

A massage practice that is conducted on the padded floor.  Gym clothes are to be worn when receiving this service. Preferably booked at least a day or more in advanced.

Thai employs stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques to relieve tension and enhance flexibility and range of motion.

The therapist uses her hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches and also applies deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure.

Ashiatsu Massage

Also known as bare foot massage or oriental bar therapy. This type of massage uses whole body weight of the therapist delivered from the feet. While the therapist uses stabilizing bars above for balance and maneuverability.  this is for the experienced massage client who needs a firm pressure.

Reflexolog

image20

A  health treatment which associates each organ in the body with a spot on the individual's foot or hand. Massage of the foot or hand is then believed to unblock the body's energy and promote health.. By applying pressure to specific parts of the foot, known as reflex points, energy can be balanced elsewhere in the body.

And so by working on the feet, the reflexologist is able to help with a whole range of problems such as digestive disorders, sinus difficulties, stress and headache.
